Taking the concept of overconsumption literally, “Plan(e)t Based” features the two artists Anna Schlechter and Ian Cardinali devouring the planet. Through darkly humorous visuals and voice-over, the work exposes the ridiculousness of our current trajectory. By embracing absurdity, it invites the viewer to confront the uncomfortable truth and reflect on how we have normalised this irrational behaviour.
